City and Route Circles are here to help people choose where to go and how to get there. They work because people share what they actually experienced, kindly and specifically.
What we ask
- Be useful, specific and respectful. “Parking downtown was $30 a day in July” helps; “it’s a rip-off” doesn’t.
- Share experience, not misinformation presented as fact. Say when you’re not sure, and when you were there.
- Don’t post personal contact details publicly, yours or anyone else’s. Use a connection request to talk privately.
- Don’t share someone else’s travel plans or location.
- Never pressure anyone to meet offline. If you do choose to meet, meet in public and tell someone your plans.
- Keep discussions about the city or route they’re in.
- No scams, affiliate spam, commercial solicitation or repeated promotion. Businesses can list themselves in the directory instead.
- Respect different budgets, identities, backgrounds and travel styles. Harassment and hateful content are removed.
- Report unsafe or inappropriate behavior. Reports are private, and you can block anyone at any time.
Your privacy
Every account starts private. Nobody can find you, see your profile or message you unless you change that under Privacy & visibility. Messages only work between people who have both accepted a connection.
What happens when something breaks these guidelines
Moderators review reports. Depending on what happened, content may be removed, and an account may be warned, suspended or closed. New accounts have lower posting limits for their first week, which keeps spam out.
