Close to LAX and about ten miles from downtown LA, Inglewood has become one of the most important entertainment spots in Los Angeles. SoFi Stadium, home to the Rams and Chargers, and the Intuit Dome, home to the Clippers, sit on the old Hollywood Park grounds, and the historic Forum still books major concerts. On event days the area is packed, well patrolled and very hard to drive through.
Beyond the venues, this is a residential city of about 100,000 with deep Black and Latino roots, and the real neighborhood life happens along Market Street and Crenshaw Boulevard. Santa Monica is a similar distance away, which makes it convenient. That convenience has pushed prices up, and rents and home values are high, with the stadium development adding more pressure. Expect aircraft noise, some heat and poor air days, and earthquake risk since a fault runs through the city. Car break-ins are the main visitor problem, especially after games. Parts of the Century Boulevard corridor and blocks near Prairie Avenue deserve caution late at night.

About this data
Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim MSA figure 12,844,441 is the value supplied for this batch; the MSA is shared with Los Angeles and Anaheim and this city is not the anchor. Population, land area, median home value and rent are from Census QuickFacts (Vintage 2025 population, ACS 2020-2024). Inglewood has no dedicated tourism bureau confirmed, so the city website is used for visitor_website; the calendar link is the city's SoFi Stadium event schedule page (seen in search results), which covers the biggest events but is not a full community calendar. Elevation, coordinates, founding, event months, hotel ranges, tipping, cost-of-living index, crime rates, airport distances and 1BR rent are approximate or from general knowledge and not verified in this pass. Web fetch of non-Census pages was not used, so confidence is moderate to lower on those items. Official URLs were seen in search results but not load-tested.
